Hydrangeas, woodblock print, 2012

Changes are happening around here at Michelle Templeton Art.

It seems you can’t be around interesting, creative women without getting an endless supply of good ideas for your blog/creative business to-do list.

As a result the look of this blog has changed a bit, as has the look of my FB page. I’m now on Twitter (follow me @MTempletonArt). I have some big plans for improving the look of my Etsy shop too. The ideas are flying.

It occurred to me as I was working on all of this how deeply helpful it is to participate in shared wisdom. As an artist I work alone in my studio but when I have experiences of interacting and sharing ideas I find it energizes my work like nothing else. And I find people are amazingly generous with ideas and strategies.

Anyway, these women have really lit a fire under me. Check out their work. I have no doubt you will also find much to be inspired by:

Melanie Biehle of Inward Facing Girl – Melanie is a writer, photographer and branding/marketing expert.

Blair Stocker of wisecraft – Blair is a maker of beautiful things and has been a blogger since 2005.

Andie Powers of Assemble – Andie is the creative force behind the blog of this crafting web shop.

Moorea Seal – fashion blogger who has nearly 1 million followers on Pinterest!

Megan Reardon of Not Martha who blogs on a range of topics from technology to fashion to craft DIY.

Marie Blair of Make and Takes, a blog about ideas for family crafts and activities.

Arianne Foulks of Aeolidia – Arianne builds web sites for creative small businesses.

Next week, it’s back to the studio and lots of solitary work time. I’m thankful to be taking with me lots of energy and ideas from the collective spirit!
